Almost Perfect
Documentary picture directed by Grzegorz Fedorowski. Sztaszek and Maria have been married for only 5 years. For him this relationship is the second official one, for her this was the first such experience. They are incredibly happy together and they can’t even think of living separately. They don’t have to worry about the flat, work, unkind bosses, sinking ambitions. They are not afraid of raising kids. Staszek and Maria are about 80 years old. They live in one room supported by a social assistance house.
Londoners
Londoners shows those who had the courage to change their lot and started over abroad, in an attractive way. We see Poles, to whom London is a work place, and those who fight determinately for survival there. This series is also a dramatized chronicle of the youngest Polish migrant circles. The screenwriters spent many weeks among Poles in London, getting to know their lives, watching their everyday problems, and listening to exceptional expat stories.
Pucul & Grzechu
Pucul and Grzechu is a series of animated films dedicated to proper Polish language usage. So far, 3 series, together thirty episodes have been made. Each of the approximately 45-second episodes uses a light, sometimes absurd, form to present a specific language error, the correct form, and a brief, humorous explanation of the error. To avoid using an excessively schoolmarmish tone, the series creators use a feigned diversion of attention from the heart of the matter. The films have been prepared as ‘how-to’ guides: e.g. how to be successful in life, how to become an actor, how to travel by hitchhiking, or how to get rid of your boss. The absurdity of each situation is revealed together with the narrator’s commentary as well as the repeating catchphrase at the end. Popular actors and journalists provide the voices for the characters in the animated snippets.
Creative Valley
“Creative Valley – what young art is looking for is” a CYKLICZNY scholarship project divided for young artists (14 - 25 years), which includes such areas like: multimedia, photography, literature, dance, plastic arts, music, theater, culture animation and design. Every month one of mentioned categories is taking under jury’s evaluation. The main aim of the whole project is to support young talented people, and giving them opportunity of self development. Laureates have possibility of showing their works in monthly emitted on channel 2 of Polish Public Television. Parallel organizers run many cultural events.
