Márta Józsa
I was born in Cluj (Hungarian - Kolozsvár), Romania, in the notorious Ceausescu-age.
Hungarian national, I started my new life in Hungary with a decision, to walk the straight and narrow. I mean: I tried not to work in the cloudy and mysterious word of the press, but I failed.
After several years of university studies, teaching and doing other important things, e.g., helping my children grow up, I returned to the media, starting with news and news-background programmes, talkshows for local TV, later at a commercial station. Since 2000 I have been working in MTV – the Hungarian national TV – where I’m in the middle of changes. I’ve left behind the news department, and have started working in the cultural department.
What else? Usually I make one, sometimes two independent documentaries yearly, and my (not so) secret love is literature. I’m also a writer of short stories and essays... My first novel was published last year.
