Matabb - Arabic for “Speed Bump”, is an all-new Palestinian TV-serial. The title of the series is derived from the notorious and randomly built speed bumps on Palestinian streets. The title metaphorically refers to the ups and downs in the life of its protagonists. The setting is one of the abundant non-government organizations (NGO) in Ramallah which are mainly funded from abroad.
The series reflects the daily life of the Palestinians and go beyond that to discuss sensitive cultural issues of the community. the series was produced with a Palestinian crew, some of them who has never been in a professional fiction production before. The PBC banned the series from broadcasting for 3 weeks until they made some changes and cut out some scenes.
