- Program directors, head editors, and editors charged with ordering programs
- Television authors and producers
- Independent producers
- Employees and public television partners
The most interesting public television productions from around the world presented during INPUT conferences in 2006-2008 will be made available to Poland’s television community during The Best of INPUT conference, which will be held on October 24-26, 2008 at the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw.
The Best of INPUT, also known as a Mini-INPUT, is one part of the activities of the INPUT organization used to promote the idea of public television acting in the public interest.
The essence of the conference is the screening of several dozen carefully selected programs from the best, most interesting, and most innovative ones broadcast by public television stations in various countries and attendant professional discussions. These discussions concern all aspects of production, realization, broadcast, and social impact. Thus INPUT is the place where new ideas and novel ways of thinking are born.
As with the “large” conference, Mini-INPUT conferences also feature shop stewards (moderators) and the authors of programs selected individually by national coordinators.
The Best of INPUT will also initiate the Polish pre-selection to the INPUT 2009 conference program. The international selection will take place in Berlin in February 2009. The Best of INPUT partner is the Goethe Institute, which collaborates with the INPUT conference in organizing local Mini-INPUT conferences around the world.
This will be the second time The Best of INPUT has been held in Poland. The previous edition took place in May 2006 in Wroclaw. The program of that conference covered the years 2003-2005.
